About Roxanna

A lot of people ask,

What’s with the name ‘I’m Not For Everyone’??

In brief, Roxanna was once chatting with a co-worker and relating the details of a dating experience (back in the single days). She jokingly acknowledged her quirky personality and straight-forward dialogue often makes her “Not For Everyone”, but that some people seemed to be okay with it. When first beginning this blog and trying to determine a unique URL – the quote came to mind. The rest, as they say, is history.

During her studies at Texas A&M University, Roxanna began working with Estée Lauder and instantly fell in love with the art of makeup.  After completing her Bachelor of Arts degree, she decided to pursue a career in the cosmetic industry.  Since 1999, she has worked for various companies including: Chanel, Trish McEvoy, Laura Mercier. Nordstrom, Saks 5th Avenue, and Neiman Marcus.  She has filled the roles of beauty advisor, makeup artist, business manager, regional coordinator, trainer, freelance artist, and has traveled the U.S. as part of Trish McEvoy’s national artist team.  At the magic age of 32, Roxanna’s passion for the art of makeup and beauty inspired her to begin a career as a licensed medical aesthetician.  Before recently relocating to North Texas, she worked under the supervision of a physician and nurse practitioner in a Central Texas based Med Spa. Now, she is focusing on addressing the skin care needs of a smaller group of personal clients in her home based treatment clinic.

Additionally, Roxanna has a variety of interests…she is never far from her iPhone or MacBook and loves blogging, new media, social networking, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, MMA, grappling, Muay Thai, French language (and pretty much everything French),  coffee, food, cooking, beer, wine…humor…the list goes on and on…
